Fe Toledo
Krista Fe Andrea V. Toledo or also known as “Fe Toledo” is a multi-disciplinary visual artist based in Makati City, Philippines. She recently graduated Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Visual Communication at the University of the East- Caloocan. Fe is a visionary graphic designer with a background in editing, layout, art management and many more.
An active member of the Buklod Sining Organization, Toledo became its Executive Secretary (2021-2022), President (2022-2023) and Board of Regents (2023-2024). She has co-created various projects such as “Sculpture Season Creative Talk”, “Pira-Pirasong Kuwento ng Martial Law Collage Contest”, “TUMINDIG: The Art of Tarantadong Kalbo”, “Magdamit ay di Biro”, “IN PROGRESS: Echoing Session on Art Residencies” and many more. During her term, Buklod Sining was awarded Outstanding UNESCO Club under the College Level-Culture Category for three consecutive years. In addition, Toledo was hailed as an Outstanding UNESCO CLUB Youth Leader in 2023.
Toledo received multitudes of accolades. In 2021, Toledo became one of the finalists of the 54th Shell National Students Art Competition in the Painting Category. In 2023, Her children’s illustration was accepted in the Crossing Continents- Intercontinental Bienal which was exhibited in Colombia and Argentina. In the same year, her series of photographs “Hatching” and “Time” were featured in Iris Youth Magazine, a California-based magazine dedicated to fostering a safe space for artistic expression. In addition, Toledo was accepted as one of the artist residents for “Artist On Standby”, a 4-week virtual residency by the Belgrade Art Studio in Serbia dedicated to developing art practice and interacting with artists all over the world. Recently, Toledo was accepted in Af3irm’s School of Women’s Activism which gathers women to restore and heal the devastations of exploitation upon land and women’s body through political theory, dialogue and action.
